Initial Examination

Initial Examination

A short examination will take place and, if early indications are favorable, x-rays will be arranged in the practice to assess the jaws for implants. At this stage an indication of your jaw's suitability for implants will be given, together with an approximate idea of the likely cost.

Detailed examination

If the initial examination is favourable and the patient wishes to be considered for treatment, a detailed examination will take place and an appointment will be arranged with a consultant oral surgeon who will actually place the implants. In some cases additional specialised x-rays in a hospital might be needed.
