Training and Experience
Donald Mackenzie has been in private dental practice in Lymington since 1981. He qualified in 1975 and spent three years in general dental practice in London and Bath and two years at the Royal Dental Hospital obtaining the Master's Degree in Advanced Conservation (crowns, bridges and root canal treatment).
He has published original research in the British Dental Journal and in 1984 was awarded the Research Prize for the British Society for restorative dentistry. He has represented the dental profession at national and local level and has for many years acted as a local spokesman on radio and television. He has lectured on implants locally. Following the establishment of Specialist Lists by the General Dental Council, Dr Mackenzie was appointed as a Specialist in Prosthodontics in August 2000.
